Civils Ganger
Location: Fareham
Pay Rate: £23 – £25 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: 17th August 2026

EMR are currently looking for an experienced Ganger to join a busy civil engineering project in Fareham.
This role will suit a hands-on ganger with strong experience delivering civils works on infrastructure projects and the ability to lead a small gang of operatives on site while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and coordinating a small gang of groundworkers
- Overseeing day-to-day site activities and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently
- Drainage installation and general civils groundworks
- Reading and working from drawings and site plans
- Liaising with site management and reporting progress
- Ensuring health & safety standards are followed at all times
- Assisting with hands-on groundworks
Requirements
✔ Proven experience working as a Ganger on infrastructure or civil engineering projects
✔ Valid CSCS Card
✔ SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
✔ CPCS or NPORS plant tickets (such as dumper, roller or 360) advantageous
✔ Ability to read drawings and manage a small team on site
✔ Own PPE
✔ Strong leadership, communication and reliability
