Overview
We are seeking a motivated Part-time Mobile Phone Sales Assistant to join our team. We are a local mobile phone and tech retailer in the heart of Leek, dedicated to keeping our community connected. We pride ourselves on offering expert advice, the latest smart phone devices and top- tier customer service. We are looking for an enthusiastic , tech-savvy individual who will be the face of our shop, someone passionate about technology and customer service to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for mobile phone sales , assisting customers with their mobile device needs, providing product information, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. Some admin will be required, computer literacy is essential. This paid position is ideal for organised, communicative individuals eager to grow within the retail sector.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their mobile phone requirements
- Provide detailed product information and demonstrate device features
- Assist customers with selecting suitable plans and accessories
- Upsell additional products or services to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by ensuring displays are well-stocked and visually appealing
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Offer excellent phone etiquette and personalised customer service at all times
- Keep abreast of new products, promotions, and industry trends to inform customers effectively
- Organise stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and calculating totals accurately
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to enhance product displays and optimise sales potential
- Ability to demonstrate good phone etiquette and active listening skills
- Proven ability to upsell products or services in a friendly, professional manner.
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
