Tumble Jacks is an indoor soft play centre dedicated to providing a joyful and safe environment for children aged from babies to 12 years old. Please note that this is a permanent position, and not suitable for someone who is looking for seasonal work or unable to work every weekend.
Weekend Children's Party Host & Front of House Assistant (18+)
Location: SK6 7HX
Pay: Up to £13.75 per hour
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
Schedule: Saturdays and/or Sundays (Weekend Availability Required)
Are you outgoing, energetic, and love making children laugh? We're looking for a confident Children's Party Host to deliver unforgettable birthday parties while also supporting our Front of House team in our busy family entertainment centre.
This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys performing, interacting with children, and working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Whether you have experience as a children's entertainer, activity leader, camp leader, party host, nursery practitioner, hospitality team member or customer service assistant, we'd love to hear from you.
We're happy to recruit one person for Saturdays and one for Sundays, or someone available for both days.
Working Hours
- Standard shift: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Flexibility required for overtime between 8:30am and 6:45pm, depending on party bookings.
- Extra shifts available during school holidays and special events.
What You'll Do
- Host exciting children's birthday parties from start to finish.
- Lead games, activities, singing and dancing (enthusiasm matters far more than singing ability!).
- Dress as princesses or other themed characters where required to bring parties to life.
- Work closely with a Party Assistant to support you and to ensure every celebration runs smoothly.
- Welcome families and provide excellent customer service.
- Support the Front of House team between parties.
- Communicate confidently with parents before, during and after parties.
- Create magical memories and ensure every child has an amazing experience.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
- 18 years or over (due to working hours).
- Confident, friendly and naturally outgoing.
- Comfortable performing in front of groups of children and adults.
- High energy with a fun, positive personality.
- Happy to sing, dance, dress up and get involved.
- Reliable, organised and able to thrive in a busy environment.
- Able to travel to SK6 7HX.
Desirable Experience
Previous experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
- Children's parties
- Children's entertainment
- Activity Leader
- Holiday Club or Summer Camp
- Nursery or Childcare
- Play Centre
- Hospitality
- Customer Service
- Front of House
- Theatre, Drama, Dance or Performing Arts
Don't worry if you haven't hosted parties before—we're looking for personality, confidence and enthusiasm. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
