Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our vibrant care home team. Duties
- Deliver compassionate personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Maintain clear communication with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Support residents with daily activities and encourage social engagement to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Use IT systems effectively for documentation, updating care records, and managing schedules
- Drive residents safely when required for appointments or outings in accordance with health and safety standards
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or senior care environment demonstrating understanding of elderly residents’ needs
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care setting
- Knowledge of creating and following care plans aligned with best practices and regulatory standards
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals
- Ability to operate IT systems for documentation and record keeping efficiently
- Valid driving license preferred for transporting residents safely during outings or appointments
