An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within the Lancashire and South Cumbria Traumatic Stress Service (LSCTSS).
Based in Chorley, the service provides a specialist assessment and treatment for individuals who experience a significant range of distressing symptoms following an event(s) which they have found to be traumatic.
A key part of this role is working with clients who are on the treatment waiting list and to provide them with the psychological skills to help manage and alleviate their distress. These structured preparatory interventions are delivered either online or face-face.

The post-holder will work in a defined area of health and social care. This may be acute healthcare, mental health and / or community mental health. The post holder will work with people from different cultural backgrounds and of different ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
