The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in this full-time, office-based position. To join our team in this Accountant to join our friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for either a near-qualified accountant, a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or an experienced accountant who is qualified through experience.
Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, you will be responsible for delivering a range of accounting services, ensuring high levels of accuracy and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Producing management accounts and financial reports
- Bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Assisting with tax compliance and preparation work
- Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and support
- Ensuring all client records are maintained accurately and in line with current regulations
- Supporting the wider team with general accounting duties as required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is near qualified, fully qualified, or qualified through experience
- Has previous experience within an accountancy practice or similar accounting environment
- Has strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Is proficient in Sage, Xero and/or QuickBooks
- Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Can manage their workload effectively and meet deadlines
- Possesses strong communication and client relationship skills
- Is confident working independently and as part of a team
- Office based
