Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Assistant to provide support and companionship to individuals in their own homes. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting well-being. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering high-quality home care services, fostering a positive environment for clients, and working collaboratively with care teams. Previous experience in care homes or home care settings is advantageous, along with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual needs.

Responsibilities
- Support clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Follow personalised care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting mental well-being
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams regarding care needs and updates
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required (driving skills preferred)
What do you need?
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others
- Be available for early mornings or evenings and alternate weekends
- Care Certificate
- Must hold a full and valid UK driving license and have access to own vehicle
- Willing to cover Leeds
- Have or be willing to obtain Class 1 Business Insurance for your vehicle
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Be a reliable team player with a caring and positive attitude
- An up-to-date DBS
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Alternate weekend work.
