Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various repair and maintenance tasks. This role involves working with a range of equipment, ensuring functionality and safety while providing excellent customer service. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various types of coaches
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify faults.
- Perform fabrication tasks as required, including welding and soldering components.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and repair work.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services performed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with the drivers and operations assistant
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as necessary to move equipment or materials safely.
Skills
- Proficient in mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques, including welding and soldering.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems related to machinery operation.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Competent in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
