We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team. Becouse of the location, own transport is a must. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes while maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards. This is an ideal role for someone looking to develop their culinary skills and progress within a professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by senior chefs.
- Prepare ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Ensure all food is stored, handled, and labelled correctly.
- Keep workstations clean, organised, and fully stocked.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Help minimise food waste and maintain stock rotation procedures.
- Carry out cleaning duties as required.
Requirements
- Own transport is essential as there is no public transport nearby.
- Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential.
- Passion for food and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
