Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Property Legal Secretary to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support within the property law department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in legal documentation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The Property Legal Secretary will play a vital role in assisting solicitors with case preparation, document drafting, and client correspondence, contributing to the overall success of our legal services.
Responsibilities
- Providing secretarial support across residential and commercial property matters.
- Handling matters post-exchange of contracts, completion, and post-completion matters.
- Managing client communications in a professional and friendly manner.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors.
- Opening and closing files and maintaining accurate case records.
- Diary management, and general administrative duties.
- Managing and maintaining accurate case files and legal documentation organisation using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Providing comprehensive administrative support such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry to ensure efficient workflow.
- Communicating effectively with clients, solicitors, and other stakeholders through professional correspondence and phone calls.
- Ensuring compliance with confidentiality protocols and data protection regulations at all times.
- Managing time-sensitive tasks efficiently by prioritising workload and adhering to deadlines.
Experience
- Proven administrative experience within a legal environment is preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in conveyancing and dealing with post-exchange matters.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to professional interactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required; familiarity with IT systems relevant to legal practice is advantageous.
- Prior experience working as a legal secretary specialising in property law will be considered an asset.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
