Production Operative (Brazing Department)
Job description
We are looking for a Refrigeration Production Operative to join our team! This is a great opportunity to work in a growing manufacturing company.
The role is responsible for the brazing and assembly of our refrigeration products using a variety of tools and equipment, according to the required specifications.
Responsibilities:
· Work as a team to achieve customer quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
· Ability to read, interpret, and follow design diagrams, technical drawings and schematics, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
· Use handheld tools safely as well as the use and safe operation of electrical equipment where trained and/or qualified.
· Performing brazing in line with safe working practices.
· Maintain inventory of product in workstations – follow allocated works and job packs and complete on time as instructed.
· Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards prior to testing.
· Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation or report when defects are identified.
· Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes or instructions given.
· Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
· Keep the workstation and surrounding area clean and tidy.
· Minimise waste to control costs.
Experience:
· Previous experience in a production environment.
· Brazing Skills are advantageous but not essential.
· Wiring Skills are advantageous but not essential.
· Assembly Skills are advantageous but not essential.
