Manchester Metropolitan University's Estates Operations Team are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team of engineers providing reactive and planned maintenance services across the campus.
This position will suit an active and self-motivated individual who enjoys meeting and working with a variety of people and who is capable of managing and prioritising their own workload.
About the role:
Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Maintenance Engineer will complete a variety of electrical maintenance tasks on the various systems installed in both residential and academic buildings. This includes general and emergency lighting, lighting control, small power and electrical supplies to various types of specialist systems.
The Estates Operations team also deliver an out of hour's service, responding to emergency and business critical issues with additional salary contributions for on-call staff.
About you:
Applicants should be proficient in all aspects of electrical maintenance and be capable of managing and prioritising their own workload. You should also have good oral and written communication skills and be happy interacting with a variety of different types of customers across all University departments.

The working pattern of this role is Monday to Friday 08:45-16:30.
