FlowX Facilities Ltd is looking for a reliable and hardworking cleaner to join us on a temporary, flexible basis carrying out void property cleans across West Lothian, including Livingston, Bathgate, Whitburn and surrounding areas.
This is a flexible zero-hours role, ideal for someone looking for work that can fit around other employment, family commitments or other responsibilities. Properties can often be completed during the daytime, evenings or weekends, depending on handover deadlines and availability.
There are no guaranteed weekly hours, but work is offered regularly as properties become available.
What does the work involve?
The properties are empty homes being prepared for handover and require a thorough clean throughout. Duties typically include:
- Deep cleaning kitchens, including cupboards, units and worktops
- Deep cleaning bathrooms and sanitary ware
- Cleaning internal windows, frames and tracks
- Cleaning doors, door facings, skirtings and bannisters
- Vacuuming and sweeping floors
- Mopping where required
- Cleaning entrance doors and internal surfaces
- Carrying cleaning equipment and step ladders
- Taking completion photographs and following a cleaning specification
Some properties can be considerably dirtier than others. Where a property falls outside normal condition, additional cleaning time may be authorised.
Pay & Bonuses
£13.00 per hour, paid weekly, plus property completion bonuses.
For a standard property completed within the expected time, typical total pay is approximately:
1-bedroom property – around £60
Target time: approximately 3–3.5 hours
2-bedroom property – around £65
Target time: approximately 4–4.5 hours
3-bedroom property – around £75
Target time: approximately 5–5.5 hours
There is also a £20 fuel bonus after completing five qualifying properties.
Cleaning equipment, chemicals and PPE are supplied by FlowX Facilities.
What we're looking for
Reliability is extremely important. Once you accept a property, our client is relying on us to have it completed by the agreed deadline.
The role is physically active and involves bending, reaching, carrying equipment, using step ladders and occasionally opening windows or doors which may be stiff.
You must:
- Have your own reliable transport
- Be comfortable transporting cleaning equipment
- Be able to work independently
- Have good attention to detail
- Be physically capable of carrying out deep cleaning work
- Be reliable and communicate well
- Be able to provide completion photographs using a smartphone
Previous professional cleaning experience is helpful but not essential for the right person. Full induction and guidance on our required cleaning standard will be provided.
Immediate start available, with work available from Monday the 24th August.
