Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as WEEKEND Bar Staff. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to patrons, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is MOSTLY WEEKEND bar staff and through the week, night shifts. Alternate.
Duties
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct delivery of drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system with accuracy
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages
- Assist in setting up and clearing down the bar area during shifts
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment and promote special offers or events
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or serving roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and friendliness
- Organisation skills to keep the bar area clean, tidy, and well-stocked
- A friendly personality with a positive attitude and team spirit
