Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen operation within a busy and guest-focused hospitality venue.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, hands-on chef who can take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, lead a team and consistently deliver high-quality food and service standards.
The position is available on either a permanent or temp-to-permanent basis, with accommodation available at cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day kitchen operation.
- Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen brigade.
- Oversee food preparation, production and service.
- Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Manage ordering, stock control, stock rotation and kitchen costs.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene and H&S procedures are maintained.
- Support menu development and contribute new ideas where appropriate.
- Work closely with the wider management and FOH teams to deliver an excellent guest experience.
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment.
- Remain hands-on during busy services and lead by example.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior Sous Chef ready to step up.
- Strong leadership and kitchen management skills.
- Experience working within a busy professional kitchen.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation, production and service.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Good stock, ordering and cost-control knowledge.
- The ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team.
- A calm and organised approach during busy services.
- A hands-on attitude and passion for delivering quality food.
- Full driving licence – essential due to the location.
