AW Express Ltd is recruiting two reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers for permanent, full-time positions based in Rugby.
This is a secure, salaried role offering £45,000 per year for a 50-hour week, regular Monday-to-Friday work and paid overtime. An ADR licence is helpful but not essential, as ADR training can be provided for the right candidates.

The role
You will carry out deliveries and collections throughout the UK on behalf of AW Express Ltd and our customers.
The work includes a mixture of general haulage and ADR/hazardous-goods movements. You will be responsible for completing deliveries safely, securing loads correctly, carrying out daily vehicle checks and providing a professional service to customers.
We are looking for drivers who take pride in their work, look after their vehicle and can be trusted to work independently.
What you will need
- A current Category C/HGV Class 2 licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- At least two years’ HGV driving experience
- A good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time rules
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- A professional and reliable attitude
- The ability to work independently
- Flexibility when occasional nights out are required
An ADR licence is preferred but not essential. We can provide ADR training to a suitable driver.
Working hours
- Monday to Friday
- Starts are usually around 6:00am
- Basic salary covers 50 hours per week
- Every hour worked over 50 is paid at £18 per hour
- Occasional nights out may be required and are paid at £25 per night
