Atlas Workplace Services is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Commercial Manager to join our growing team on a 15-month fixed-term contract. Based in Milton Keynes with hybrid working available, this role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in delivering commercial excellence across a diverse portfolio of FM contracts, lifecycle projects, and capital works.
Working closely with Operations, Projects, Procurement and Finance teams, you will take ownership of all commercial matters relating to your designated accounts, ensuring commercial performance, contract compliance, value for money, and effective governance throughout the contract lifecycle.
The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will support the successful delivery of Facilities Management and project services by managing contractual obligations, commercial risk, contract variations, supplier relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will act as a trusted commercial advisor, helping the business identify efficiencies, manage financial performance, and maximise opportunities while ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial performance of FM service contracts, lifecycle replacement programmes and capital projects.
- Price, review and administer contract variations and amendments.
- Assess and negotiate supplier and client contractual terms and conditions.
- Support procurement activities and supplier onboarding for new contracts.
- Manage supplier and client invoicing, valuations and payment processes.
- Review and update service schedules, specifications and service level agreements.
- Maintain robust document control and contract administration systems.
- Ensure all activities demonstrate value for money (VFM) and comply with quality assurance standards.
- Support annual benchmarking exercises and commercial performance reviews.
- Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
- Maintain commercial risk and innovation registers.
- Provide commercial and contractual guidance to operational teams and stakeholders.
- Produce valuations, certification, commercial reports and performance data.
- Investigate operational shortfalls and support business improvement initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement programmes across contracts and wider business functions.
- Monitor key commercial KPIs and report performance to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Atlas corporate governance policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications, Certifications and Training required
- Degree level education or equivalent
Professional qualification (Finance or Technical)

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience for this role
- 5-10 years’ commercial, technical, Legal or finance experience in an FM provider.
- Commercial Awareness
- Experience of prioritising and working to strict deadlines
- Experience of working with all levels of stakeholders in the business
