TNA is an innovative and successful integrated packaging and processing solutions company. We design and manufacture high-speed packaging, distribution and processing equipment for the food industry.
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team manufacturing special purpose, bespoke machinery. We offer competitive rates and are looking for candidates who have the skills and qualities to fit in with the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lay out, position and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straight edge combination square, callipers and ruler.
- Fit, tack, weld and flatten various parts according to the dimensions and specification on the engineer drawings.
- Determine required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry and welding techniques.
- Develop templates and other work aids to hold and align parts.
- Ensure quality of finished goods is in line with Company standards and meets specifications
- Follow safe working practices at all times
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- At least 5 years welding/fabrication experience in special purpose machinery
- Extensive knowledge of welding processes - Must have TIG experience
- Experience of stainless steel is mandatory
- Ability to read blueprints and recognise welding symbols and specifications
