Part-Time Property Viewer / Viewing Assistant
Weekend & Flexible Work | Bury & Surrounding Areas
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and confident Part-Time Property Viewer / Viewing Assistant to carry out viewings of commercial properties, industrial units, buildings and occasionally other properties across Bury and the surrounding areas.
This is a straightforward, flexible role and previous property experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
The position would suit someone looking to earn additional income at weekends and potentially during other periods when required.
The Role
You will meet prospective tenants or occupiers at one of our available properties, show them around and explain the basic features of the property and site.
Properties can vary considerably and may include:
* Industrial units
* Warehouses
* Workshops
* Offices
* Commercial buildings
* Storage units
* Yards and land
* Other properties within our portfolio
You will be provided with the relevant information about the property beforehand so that you can confidently conduct the viewing and answer straightforward questions.
Any more detailed negotiations or enquiries can be referred back to the main office and our commercial property team.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
* Attending pre-arranged property viewings
* Meeting prospective tenants and occupiers
* Opening and securing properties for viewings
* Showing applicants around the property and wider site
* Explaining the main features and benefits of the property
* Providing basic information regarding the unit
* Answering straightforward questions
* Presenting properties positively and professionally
* Obtaining useful feedback following viewings
* Reporting back to the office following each appointment
* Identifying applicants who appear particularly interested
* Occasionally assisting with additional property or site visits

Sales & Communication Skills
An element of sales ability would be advantageous.
We are not looking for someone to use high-pressure sales techniques. However, you should be able to talk confidently about a property, point out its positive features and create a good impression.
Experience in sales, customer service, estate agency, lettings, retail, hospitality or dealing with the public would therefore be useful, although again, it is not essential.
Essential Requirements
* Your own reliable transport
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to travel between properties in and around Bury
* Available to work weekends
* Reliable and punctual
* Good communication skills
* Presentable and professional
* Comfortable meeting members of the public
* Able to use a smartphone for messages, property information and reporting back to the office
Hours
This is a part-time, flexible position, with a particular requirement for weekend availability.
Hours will depend upon the number and timing of property viewings.
There may also be opportunities for additional weekday, evening or ad-hoc hours depending upon availability and business requirements.
The position could therefore work particularly well alongside another job, studies, retirement or other commitments.
Location
Bury and surrounding areas
Applicants must have their own transport as you will be travelling between different properties.
Pay
Competitive hourly rate – dependent upon experience
Mileage/travel arrangements can be discussed depending upon the location of viewings.
Training
Full training will be provided, including how to conduct a professional viewing, the information to provide to applicants and how to report feedback following an appointment.
You do not need to have worked in property previously.
