Summary of Job Role:
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing a high-quality reactive and preventative maintenance service to customers across the UK. The role involves the maintenance, repair and commissioning of parking equipment and associated technologies, ensuring that customer equipment remains fully operational and service level agreements are consistently achieved.
The role requires a professional, customer-focused individual who can work independently, manage their own workload, and represent the company positively at all times.
Location: North East England & Scotland
This is a field-based role covering North East England and Scotland, with the primary service area including York, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Redcar. Regular travel throughout these areas will be required.
Due to the nature of the role and customer requirements, the successful candidate will also be expected to travel outside of these areas and undertake occasional Saturday work where business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to diagnose, repair and maintain equipment in accordance with company procedures and service standards.
- Respond to service calls allocated through the service management system and ensure all calls are completed within agreed service level agreements.
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance visits to minimise equipment downtime and maximise equipment performance.
- Commission and configure new equipment and carry out upgrades and modifications where required.
- Accurately complete all service documentation, including job reports, parts usage and customer sign-off, within the required timescales.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels within the company vehicle and ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded.
- Escalate technical issues, recurring faults and customer concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Ensure company vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe and serviceable condition.
- Provide technical support, advice and first line maintenance training to customers and colleagues when required.
- Participate in training activities and maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
- Occasionally support out-of-hours work and occasional overnight stays where business requirements dictate.
- Promote and maintain a positive and professional image of the company at all times.
Required Competency and Behaviours
- Previous experience in a field service, maintenance or engineering role.
- Experience working on electronic, electro-mechanical or technical equipment is desirable.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and instructions.
- Good IT skills and the ability to use handheld devices and service management systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Pay: £25,740.00-£30,500.00 per year
