Job Summary
We are recruiting a Warehouse Operative to work in a busy warehouse environment handling stock, picking orders, preparing doors for the paint shop, and loading vehicles.
The role includes forklift truck work and picking from racking using aisle/high-level picking equipment. Full training can be provided.
This is a hands-on, physical role and involves regular lifting and working on your feet.
Duties
- Pick orders from racking locations
- Pick and prepare doors for the paint shop
- Use aisle pickers and high-level picking equipment
- Load and unload lorries and containers
- Operate forklift trucks safely
- Move and organise stock within the warehouse
- Build, wrap and label pallets ready for dispatch
- Book goods in and out using the warehouse system
- Carry out daily equipment checks
- Maintain housekeeping and safe walkways
- Follow site safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous warehousing/manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential.
- Valid forklift licence or experience operating forklift trucks is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working at height using picking equipment.
- Ability to carry out manual handling activities, including heavy lifting, safely and efficiently during stock movement or loading activities.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and documentation.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks regularly.
- Reliable team player with a proactive attitude towards safety and efficiency in the workplace.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
