We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in the security industry to help Secure Watch Group secure new commercial contracts and develop long-term client relationships.
The Role
This is a results-driven business development position focused on identifying, approaching and converting new clients requiring security services.
You will be expected to use your existing security industry knowledge, contacts and business development experience to generate opportunities and secure profitable contracts for Secure Watch Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new security contract opportunities across commercial sectors.
- Generate leads through networking, cold outreach, LinkedIn, telephone and face-to-face meetings.
- Approach construction companies, hotels, pubs, bars, venues, event organisers, retailers, property managers and other potential clients.
- Build relationships with decision-makers including Facilities Managers, Operations Managers, Procurement Managers, Venue Managers and Managing Directors.
- Arrange and attend client meetings and site visits.
- Understand client security requirements and recommend appropriate Secure Watch Group services.
- Assist with preparing quotations, proposals and tender opportunities.
- Follow leads from initial contact through to contract award.
- Maintain an organised pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities.
- Develop long-term relationships that generate repeat and additional business.
- Represent Secure Watch Group professionally at meetings, networking events and industry events.
Candidate Requirements
We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Previous business development or sales experience within the UK security industry.
- A good understanding of manned guarding, door supervision, events and commercial security.
- Existing relationships or contacts within the security, construction, hospitality, facilities management, property or events sectors would be highly advantageous.
- Experience winning security contracts or generating B2B security leads.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence dealing directly with business owners and senior decision-makers.
- The ability to work independently and generate their own opportunities.
- A professional and commercially focused approach.
Previous experience working for a security company, FM provider or security recruitment/contracting business is highly desirable.
Earnings
This is a performance-based opportunity with commission paid for contracts successfully secured for Secure Watch Group.
There is significant earning potential for an experienced individual who can consistently introduce and secure profitable security contracts.
The exact commission structure will be agreed before work begins and can reflect the size, value, profitability and duration of each contract secured.
