Hourly salary: An OTE Hourly Rate of £16.50 per hour
Bar Supervisor, Graduate Cambridge | OTE £16.50 per hour
Lead the bar at one of Cambridge's most beautiful riverside settings.
Graduate Cambridge, our landmark hotel on the banks of the River Cam, is looking for a Bar Supervisor to take the lead behind the bar. This is a hands on role for someone who loves the craft of great drinks, thrives in a busy service, and wants the step up into leading a team. You'll run shifts, set the pace, coach your bartenders, and earn an OTE of £16.50 per hour.
Who we are
We're White Rabbit Hospitality, the team behind some of the UK's most celebrated hotels and restaurants, including Rusacks St Andrews, The Randolph Oxford, Lina Stores and Kricket. At Graduate Cambridge, that comes to life across Garden House, our bars and our events spaces, where characterful hospitality meets one of the finest riverside locations in England. As Bar Supervisor, the drinks experience is yours to own.
Why this role is different
This isn't a role where you're handed a script and told to follow it. You'll have real influence over how the bar runs, from specs and garnishes to how the team is set up for a full house on a summer evening. You'll work across hotel guests, locals, weddings, private events and busy Cambridge weekends, so no two services look the same. If you want to build the experience that takes you to Bar Manager, this is the place to do it.
What we stand for
Our values aren't a poster on the wall. They show up in every shift, every round and every drink that leaves your bar.
Our Values, Behind the Bar
- HOSPITALITY IS AT OUR CORE: You read the room, remember the regulars, and make every guest feel like the bar was set up just for them.
- WE DO THE RIGHT THING: You look after your team, your guests and your licence, serving responsibly and holding standards even when it's flat out.
- WE PURSUE EXCELLENCE: Consistency is your signature. Every cocktail to spec, every glass polished, every time.
- WE ARE ALL ENTREPRENEURS: You spot the slow Tuesday that could be a cocktail night, the stock that isn't selling, the upsell nobody's asking for. Then you do something about it.
What Will You Be Doing?
Leading the bar team through service and making sure every guest gets the same standard, whether it's their first visit or their fiftieth.
- Running bar shifts from set up through to close, leading from the floor
- Making and serving cocktails, wine, beer and coffee to a consistently high standard
- Supervising, training and motivating the bar team, including new starter inductions

- Working closely with the kitchen and restaurant teams to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Supporting bar service for weddings, private events and busy seasonal periods
What Do You Need?

- The ability to lead a shift, keep people calm and keep standards up under pressure
- A genuine warmth with guests and a natural eye for detail
- Understanding of licensing law and responsible service
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and events
- A personal licence is welcome but not essential, we can support you to gain one
