Trainee Estimator Job in Wimborne
We are proud to work with an established specialist manufacturer supplying bespoke solutions to the construction sector is looking to appoint a Trainee Estimator to join its commercial team.
This Trainee Estimator role offers a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, supporting contractors across the UK. The Trainee Estimator role combines technical understanding, commercial awareness and problem-solving, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with detail and seeing projects develop from enquiry through to order.
The Role
· You'll be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications, producing accurate quotations and supporting clients throughout the tender process.
· Working closely with sales, production and project teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially viable and delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing quotations from construction drawings and specifications
- Reviewing tender documentation
- Calculating material, labour and installation costs
- Liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers
- Supporting the commercial team during tender submissions
- Managing multiple enquiries and deadlines
- Maintaining accurate records and project information
- Assisting with project handovers following successful tenders
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- An understanding of the estimating processes
- Has good numerical and analytical skills
- Works accurately under pressure and to deadlines
- Is organised and self-motivated
- Communicates clearly with colleagues, suppliers and customers
- Is proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Pay: £25,500.00-£27,000.00 per year
