Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Builders Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of building projects, supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring smooth site operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience across multiple construction disciplines within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and clearing of construction sites, including unloading materials and setting up equipment.
- Support carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical, and welding tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to aid in construction activities.
- Assist with fabrication tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
- Help with site safety measures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Carry out general labouring duties such as lifting, moving materials, and cleaning work areas.
- Support tradespeople in installing fixtures, fittings, and structural components.
- Contribute to maintaining organised storage of tools and materials on-site.
Requirements
- Previous experience or training in construction-related trades such as carpentry, roofing, painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills within the construction industry while contributing to diverse projects in a supportive environment. All positions are paid accordingly for the work performed.
