Mactech require multiple Plating Supervisors, for days and nights, to join a team working on the prefabrication, installation, and erection of piping systems on the mechanical scope at Hinkley Point C.
The Plating Supervisors will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all fabrication activities for the project. The role focuses on safe execution, workforce management, productivity, quality assurance, and coordination of fabrication and support preparation activities to meet project requirements and schedules.
Suitable candidates must have:
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a similar role
Level 3 Apprenticeship/Diploma in Plating, Fabrication, Welding, Structural Steelwork, Shipbuilding or Metalworking
LATS OR SSSTS OR IOSH Managing Safely
CCNSG Safety Passport
Enrolment onto ILM Level 3 Certificate C&BE plus completion of Nuclear Unit OR Nuclear Engineering Construction Supervisor (NECS)
Working Arrangements:
10/4 rotation
Days: 9 x 10-hour shifts (Tuesday to Wednesday) & 1 x 6-hour shift every second Thursday
Nights: 9 x 11-hour shifts (Tuesday to Wednesday) & 1 x 6-hour shift every second Thursday
PAYE Rates:
Basic: £32.55 (Days) / £39.87 (Nights)
OT1: £45.57
OT2: £58.59
Bonus Potential (up to): £4.88 p/hr
Additional Payments and Holidays
Lodge: £53.39 p/night / £373.73 p/week – if eligible
Travel: Return Fare & Travel Time each month – if eligible
Holidays: 190 hours per annum + Public/Bank
Please note that rate will increase after successful completion of 3 months probationary period:
PAYE Rates after 3 Months
Basic: £35.81 (Days) / £43.87 (Nights)
OT1: £50.13
OT2: £64.46
Bonus Potential (up to): £5.37 p/hr
Expected start will be ASAP through to mid-September, subject to vetting and onboarding.
