We're looking for an experienced signalling professional to lead our night maintenance team and play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and performance of the DLR signalling infrastructure.
As Night Maintenance Team Leader – Signalling, you'll lead a team responsible for the safe and effective delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance activities across DLR signalling assets.
Working closely with First Line Response, Point Care and Installation teams, you'll ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently, work banks are effectively managed and asset performance is continually improved.
You'll combine technical expertise with strong people leadership, ensuring your team remains competent, motivated and focused on delivering a world-class railway.

Lead and develop a team of signalling technicians.

Plan and resource signalling maintenance activities to ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.

Manage corrective and preventative work banks using Maximo.

Monitor and improve asset performance through trend analysis and maintenance improvements.

Manage non-compliances through the TANC process.

Produce maintenance plans and support possession planning activities.

Maintain team competence and support training and development.

Work closely with response, installation and engineering teams to minimise failures.

Provide cover for the Engineering Response Team Leader when required.

Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.

Previous experience within signalling maintenance and fault finding.

Railway engineering experience with supervisory or team leadership responsibility.
-
SMTH certification.

Knowledge of signalling systems and assets, including Clamplock points and control and detection circuits.

Experience using asset management systems such as Maximo.

Ability to produce technical reports, procedures, method statements and risk assessments.

Full UK driving licence.
-
Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.

Experience within a metro or mainline railway environment.
-
Experience managing work banks and possession planning activities.
-
Experience supporting emergency response activities.

Knowledge of configuration control and asset management processes.
