Overview
We are seeking an experienced Roofer and Solar Installer to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems and solar energy solutions on various types of properties. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong background in construction, roofing, and solar technology, committed to delivering high-quality workmanship in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using a variety of materials and techniques.
- Set up and install solar panels and related equipment according to schematics and technical specifications.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to ensure precise installation.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as roofing panels, solar modules, and other equipment.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best installation methods and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Assist with fabrication tasks related to roofing components or solar mounting systems as needed.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and adhere to health and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing installation or repair, with knowledge of various roofing materials and techniques.
- Experience with fitting On roof rail and In roof GSE systems
- Strong understanding of schematics, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery.
- Experience with solar panel installation or renewable energy systems is highly desirable.
- Skills in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or masonry work are advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 40kg) and work at heights on ladders or scaffolding.
- Construction experience combined with knowledge of safety protocols is essential.
- Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and follow detailed instructions.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
