Job Type: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour
The Hurt Arms has opened in May following a complete restoration. With a brand-new kitchen, an additional outdoor kitchen, and expanded event spaces, we are looking for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join us ahead of launch.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an ambitious new chapter at a well-loved venue, combining high-quality food, a vibrant bar and restaurant, and a growing events business.

The Role
As Chef de Partie, you will play a key role within the kitchen team, taking responsibility for your own section and supporting the wider brigade to deliver an exceptional food offering across all areas of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Running and maintaining your designated section during prep and service
- Preparing fresh, high-quality dishes to consistent standards
- Supporting senior chefs and assisting junior team members where required
- Maintaining excellent food presentation and portion control
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and food compliance
- Contributing to smooth service across restaurant, weddings, functions, and outdoor events
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from chefs who are:
- Experienced as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
- Passionate about fresh, quality cooking
- Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
