About the Role
We are looking for skilled and reliable Fire Stopping / Remedial Joiners to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines the installation and maintenance of passive fire protection systems with high-quality remedial joinery work across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and public sector projects.
The successful candidate will have experience in both fire stopping and joinery, with a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain passive fire protection systems, including:
- Fire batt and mastic
- Fire collars and wraps
- Fire-rated sealants
- Linear gap seals
- Service penetration sealing
- Carry out remedial joinery works, including:
- Fire door repairs and upgrades
- Door frame repairs
- General carpentry and finishing works
- Replacement of damaged timber components
- Complete work in accordance with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Accurately complete site documentation, reports and photographic records
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and colleagues
Essential Requirements
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in carpentry and joinery``
- Proven experience in fire stopping and remedial joinery
- Good knowledge of passive fire protection systems
- Competent in fire door repairs and maintenance
- Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points)
- Ability to read drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable Qualifications
- FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent passive fire protection training.
