We are seeking a professional and highly organised Conveyancing Secretary to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support within the conveyancing department, ensuring smooth and efficient processing of property transactions. Duties
- Audio typing of legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and efficiency
- Managing and maintaining case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and properly organised
- Drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents using Microsoft Word and other Office programmes
- Scheduling appointments, meetings, and deadlines using Microsoft Outlook
- Liaising effectively with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other stakeholders via phone and email
- Assisting with the preparation of presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Handling general administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Managing incoming correspondence and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
- Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and confidentiality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a secretary or administrative assistant within a legal environment is preferred
- Excellent audio typing skills with high accuracy and speed
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software applications quickly
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently
- Attention to detail in all aspects of work to ensure accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
