- Provide emotional support through active listening, encouragement, and empathetic communication to promote mental well-being.
- Drive clients safely to appointments or social outings using company vehicles, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress notes, and care plan updates using IT systems designed for healthcare documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, families, and external agencies to coordinate care and address any concerns promptly.
- Conduct regular safety checks in clients’ homes or care facilities to ensure a secure environment for all residents.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a home care environment or providing home care services is highly desirable.
- Strong driving skills with a valid driver’s license to facilitate client transportation needs.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in IT systems used for documentation and reporting within healthcare settings.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to home care and residential settings is advantageous.
