Summary
We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Cleaning Operative. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-focused, flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. The Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning and sanitising offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room and public areas, as well as maintaining the factory shop floor.
Responsibilities
- Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed;
- Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space, smoking area and car park;
- Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders;
- Remove rubbish and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly/fortnightly pick-up;
- Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests;
- Ensure and ablutions and rooms are maintained and fully equipped;
- Ensure all walkways and corridors are free from obstruction; and
- Sweeping up all dust/debris.
Skills/Qualifications
- 1 year's Cleaning experience in a factory environment;
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision;
- Capacity to take orders;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Able to work autonomously and work on their own initiative.
Working hours consist of Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 4:00pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
Full UK drivers licence would be advantageous, but not essential.
