At our Morgana Court & Lodge Care Home, we are seeking a proactive, organised, and meticulous Business Administrator to join our team on a 9-month temporary contract, covering maternity leave.
This vital role, planned for an October commencement, offering 37.5 hours per week at £14.25 - £14.75 per hour (depending on experience), is perfect for someone with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude, ready to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our administrative functions.
What You'll Be Doing:

Drive the smooth and efficient management of all administrative duties, contributing directly to the home's operational excellence.

Act as the first point of contact, managing incoming calls and enquiries with professionalism and efficiency.

Oversee financial administration, managing petty cash, cash cards, and residents' personal allowances, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely monthly reconciliation.

Uphold stringent compliance with company policies and GDPR regulations across all administrative processes.

Administer resident admissions and discharges, maintaining precise and timely records essential for funding, occupancy, and related documentation.

Facilitate recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring full compliance with all new hire documentation, including DBS checks, references, and contracts.

Manage and maintain accurate records for staff annual leave, sickness, and payroll, providing essential updates to management.

Support broader financial administration, including the processing of purchase orders, invoices, and reconciliation.

Ensure the accuracy and currency of payroll software systems.

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Home Manager, regional team, and residents' families.

Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports, including internal Quality Assurance and external body requests.

Maintain organised and compliant records, managing archiving processes efficiently within specified timeframes.

What We're Looking For:

Foundational education with GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent).

Desirable experience in bookkeeping, office administration, and payroll.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Demonstrated diligence, exceptional organisational skills, and sound decision-making ability.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
