We are looking for an experienced Mobile Generator Engineer to join a well-established business supporting customers across Essex and the surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity for a skilled engineer to work on a varied range of generators and associated equipment, with ongoing training and opportunities to develop your career.
The role will involve travelling to customer sites across the area, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs, with workshop-based work when required.

Key Responsibilities
As a Mobile Generator Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel generators and associated equipment
-
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
-
Carrying out breakdown repairs at customer sites
-
Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
-
Testing equipment and identifying faults to ensure reliable operation
-
Identifying additional repair requirements and communicating these to customers
-
Completing job sheets and service documentation accurately
-
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Providing a professional and customer-focused service
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience as a Generator Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Plant Engineer or similar

Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience

Experience working on diesel generators or similar equipment

Good knowledge of electrical systems, engines and diagnostics
-
Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults independently

Full UK driving licence
-
Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship desirable
