The Skip Factory is a family-run business near Bournemouth (Dorset, England) where a wide range of steel skips and containers are manufactured daily. From stillages and 2-yard skips to roll on/off containers and bespoke products, The Skip Factory team can make anything out of steel. We have day shifts available from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
Due to the growth of The Skip Factory, there is now a new full-time position available for a fabricator welder to join our very valued and dedicated team. Either primarily making smaller skips or larger rollon/offs - but please be aware that this is not for the faint-hearted as it is heavy work. Must have good English language skills and prior welding experience. A forklift license is preferable too.
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Fabricate rollons and containers using different sized mild steel sheets
- Work using measurements
- Fold steel using press brake
- Grinding using an angle grinder
- Manufacture products to the company's required standards
- Work mostly by yourself with the occasional assistance from a designated partner for the harder lifting aspects of the job.
- Fast-paced and hardworking
Benefits:
- Hourly contract starting at £13.50-£17 per hour dependent on experience.
