Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Upholsterer / Cutter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for cutting fabric and upholstery materials with precision, assembling components, and ensuring high-quality finishes for our furniture and seating products. Duties
- Accurately measure, cut, and prepare fabric and upholstery materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Fabricate custom upholstery pieces according to specifications, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Assemble furniture components with attention to detail, maintaining quality standards throughout the process.
- Operate warehouse equipment for material handling, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency during fabrication and assembly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an upholsterer or cutter with a strong understanding of upholstery techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge to operate hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, and fabrication equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with fabricating furniture components and assembly processes.
- Warehouse experience is preferred to handle material storage and movement efficiently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of material handling tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination for precise cutting and sewing tasks.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
