Marshall Moore Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a long-established shipping organisation to recruit an experienced Ships Agent on a permanent basis.
This is a varied operational role where you’ll take responsibility for managing vessel calls from initial planning through to departure. You will be working closely with ports, terminals, customers and vessel crews and ensure every call runs efficiently.

The Role
- Coordinate all operational aspects of vessel arrivals and departures.
- Visit vessels in port when required, acting as the key point of contact for the crew and ensuring their requirements are met.
- Build strong working relationships with port authorities, terminals and marine service providers to ensure each call runs to schedule.
- Prepare cost estimates and manage the financial administration associated with vessel calls.
- Liaise with ship owners, charterers and masters, providing regular operational updates and resolving any issues that arise.
- Arrange any additional services requested during the port stay, including supplies and support services.
- Work collaboratively with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver a seamless customer experience.
About You
- Must have a Full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience within the Shipping or Logistics sector, previous Ships Agent experience would be advantageous.
- Happy to work 1/4 weekends on a rota basis
- Able to remain calm and organised while managing multiple vessel movements and changing priorities.
- Confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders both over the phone and in person.
Pay: £25,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
