About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and practical Part-Time Maintenance Person to join our friendly team at a care home in Thornton-Cleveleys. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-presented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance throughout the care home.
- Undertake routine maintenance tasks and minor refurbishment work.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance where required.
- Ensure all maintenance issues are responded to promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct regular checks of the building, grounds, and equipment.
- Assist in maintaining health and safety standards across the home.
- Liaise with external contractors when necessary.
- Keep maintenance records up to date.
About You
- Previous experience in a maintenance, building maintenance, facilities, or property maintenance role is desirable.
- Basic plumbing experience is preferred.
- Good practical skills and the ability to carry out a range of repair and maintenance tasks.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and professional in your approach.
