Nottingham Autism Support Service is seeking highly motivated Male Autism Support Workers to join our skilled and dedicated team. You will help deliver high‑quality, person‑centred support to autistic adults across community, day service, and residential settings.
About the Role
We are looking for individuals who can provide meaningful, compassionate support and who are confident working with people who may present with challenging behaviours.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Promoting independence and supporting service users to make their own choices
- Personal Care
- Travel training and community‑based support
- Contributing ideas for person‑centred activities
- Working collaboratively as part of a supportive team where sharing skills and developing new approaches is central to the role
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- At least 2 years’ experience—professional or lived—supporting autistic individuals
- Providing personal care
- The ability to provide two references confirming this experience
- Confidence and resilience when supporting people with complex or challenging behaviours
- Be 18 or over
Experience in mental health support and/or a Health and Social Care qualification would be an advantage but not essential.
A good level of spoken English is essential for effective communication in this role.
