We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Fee Earner to join our legal team. In this vital role, you will manage a caseload of client matters, provide expert legal advice, and ensure the smooth progression of cases from inception to resolution. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims, including matters progressing under the Pre-Action Protocol.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Housing Conditions Claims Protocol and associated litigation processes.
- Prepare and review disclosure documentation and evidence.
- Apply sound knowledge of Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and related disrepair obligations.
- Analyse surveyors’ reports, identifying liability, causation, and remedial issues.
- Conduct telephone negotiations to achieve favourable settlements for clients.
- Liaise confidently and professionally with clients, landlords, surveyors, and solicitors acting on behalf of landlords.
- Draft clear and accurate correspondence, witness statements, and other legal documentation.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with procedural deadlines.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience handling housing disrepair claims.
- Strong knowledge of housing disrepair law, protocol requirements, and civil procedure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident telephone manner with strong client care and negotiation skills.
- Ability to review technical evidence and assess causation issues effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
- Experience using Proclaim case management software is advantageous.

Salary DOE
Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
