The Role
As a Mobile Generator Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of diesel and electric generators at customer sites across your designated area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Routine servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel and electric generators
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Carrying out planned maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
- Fault finding using diagnostic equipment
- Inspecting equipment to ensure it is safe, reliable and ready for operation
- Completing service reports and maintenance documentation accurately
- Advising customers on equipment condition and any additional work required
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with company health and safety procedures
- Delivering a professional and efficient service while representing the company on customer sites
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Generator Engineer, Power Generation Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Electrical Engineering or equivalent (desirable)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on diesel generators or similar equipment
- Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs independently
- A good understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems and control panels
- A full UK Driving Licence
- A proactive attitude and excellent customer service skills
