Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Van Driver & Yard Operative to join our team. This vital role combines professional driving with yard operations, ensuring smooth logistics and efficient site management. Duties
Collect stock from suppliers across the UK, ensuring goods are transported safely and on time
Carry out general yard duties, including keeping the yard clean, organised and safe.·
Assist with loading and unloading vehicles.·
Complete regular stock counts and report any discrepancies.·
Support general logistics and warehouse duties as required.·
Ensure all company vehicles, equipment and stock are handled responsibly
Follow all relevant health & safety procedures.·
Work flexibly to support the wider operations team when required
Checking loads are secure
Performing equipment checks and basic maintenance
Adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in similar commercial driving roles
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safe driving practices
- Experience working in warehouse or yard environments, including heavy lifting and manual handling
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and customers effectively
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and yard management

Working Hours: Thursday – Monday 08:00–17:00

- Counterbalance Forklift
- Reach Forklift
- Flexi Forklift
Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
