Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Wholesale Manager to lead our wholesale operations and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a solid understanding of B2B sales, and the ability to develop strategic relationships with key partners. Duties
Manage the day-to-day operations of the wholesale roofing and building supplies business.
- Lead, supervise and develop sales ,warehouse, store and administrative teams.
- Plan workforce requirements, allocate responsibilities and monitor staff performance.
- Oversee wholesale sales operations, customer accounts and commercial activities.
- Manage inventory planning, stock control, storage and distribution processes.
- Oversee purchasing activities, supplier negotiations, pricing agreements and delivery arrangements.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade customers, contractors and suppliers.
- Authorise purchasing decisions, pricing adjustments and stock replenishment requirements.
- Manage customer enquiries, resolve complaints and maintain high standards of service.
- Prepare operational reports and analyse sales, stock and business performance information.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, company policies and operational procedures.
- Implement improvements to reduce stock losses, increase efficiency and maintain quality standards.
- Assist the Director with business planning, budgeting and commercial decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for business growth, market expansion and improved operational performance.
- Monitor stock turnover and maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate goods receiving, storage and dispatch operations.
- Review supplier performance and identify alternative sourcing opportunities.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and workflow improvements.
- Conduct stock audits and investigate discrepancies.
- Support recruitment, training and development of operational staff.
- Manage trade customer accounts and support new business development.
- Liaise with transport providers and suppliers to ensure timely supply of goods.
- Review systems and processes to improve productivity and wholesale operations.
Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in a , wholesale,warehouse distribution in any trade.
Proven experience managing stock control, purchasing and operational activities.
Experience supervising staff and managing business operations.
Experience dealing with suppliers, customers and commercial negotiations.
Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
Proficiency in the use of MS Office and Excel sheets.
