We are seeking sortation staff for an early morning sortation starting around 5am and lasting approximately 3 hours (until 8am), this role would suit someone looking to earn additional money in addition to a full time role, students, those with caring responsibilities and people just looking to work part time.
Overview
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Sorter to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently organising and categorising parcels, ensuring smooth operations within our warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, warehouse management systems, and mechanical processes, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Sort and categorise incoming parcels accurately and promptly
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation in designated areas
- Support warehouse management system updates to maintain accurate inventory records
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and materials for quality assurance
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as cleaning, organising, and maintaining a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, particularly in materials handling or logistics environments
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction-related tasks will be considered a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Practical understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures
This role requires a proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Candidates should be physically fit, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks undertaken.
