Niamz Companions provides person-centred companionship and practical support, helping individuals maintain their independence, confidence and connection within their community.
We are looking for a reliable, organised and compassionate Working Team Leader to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role combining client-facing companionship and support with basic administrative and team coordination duties. You will work closely with the Care Manager and support the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
The Role As a Working Team Leader, you will help support the team while also carrying out straightforward administrative duties delegated by management.
Your responsibilities will include: -
Supporting and encouraging team members to maintain high standards. - Providing companionship and practical support to clients. - Assisting with basic administrative tasks. - Keeping records and documents organised and up to date. - Supporting staff communication and day-to-day coordination. - Assisting with basic rota and scheduling tasks. - Helping to follow up on straightforward team tasks. - Communicating professionally with clients, families, staff and management. - Assisting with basic reporting and record keeping. - Supporting the Care Manager with selected operational duties. - Raising concerns or issues promptly with the Care Manager. - Helping maintain a positive and professional team environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who is: - Reliable, organised and approachable. - Compassionate and genuinely enjoys supporting people. - A confident communicator. - Comfortable working independently and using initiative. - Able to complete basic administrative tasks accurately. - Professional when communicating by phone, email and in person. - Able to support and encourage colleagues. - Flexible and willing to get involved. - Interested in developing their leadership and organisational skills. Previous experience in care, companionship, support work, administration, team coordination or supervision would be beneficial. Formal management experience is not essential. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, reliability, communication skills and willingness to learn.
