We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Vehicle Technician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive maintenance and repair, seeking flexible working hours.

The job will also consist of all garage work from engine replacements to valeting sales vehicles and everything inbtween.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with vehicle servicing, repairs, and general maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is performed to high standards of safety and quality. Prior experience or a keen interest in automotive technology is desirable, and training will be provided where necessary. This position is ideal for those looking to develop their skills within a professional environment while contributing to the upkeep of our fleet.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on various types of vehicles, including checking fluid levels, tyre pressures, and brake systems.
- Assist with the repair and replacement of vehicle components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform basic assembly tasks during vehicle repairs or modifications.
- Utilise welding equipment where necessary to repair or modify vehicle parts.
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Assist in the organisation and cleaning of the workshop area to promote a safe working environment.
- Support senior technicians with more complex repairs as part of ongoing training and development.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail when documenting work processes.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling of vehicle parts or equipment.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to equipment repair and automotive technology.
