Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Food Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of food products through scientific research, quality control measures, and laboratory analysis. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food science and laboratory work to contribute to the development and assurance of high-quality food products in accordance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with HACCP, BRCGS documentation, and day‑to‑day quality control activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and update HACCP plans and BRCGS documentation
- Perform quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with specified standards.
- Support internal audits and compliance activities
- Ensure cleaning schedules, hygiene standards, and GMP are followed
- Work closely with production to maintain high food safety standards
Qualifications
- Experience in a food manufacturing or technical role
- Strong understanding of HACCP and BRCGS
- Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations pertaining to food safety and labelling standards.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Food Science; HACCP Level 3 or a related discipline are preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Working hours: 40 hours a week; Monday - Friday
