We are currently seeking an Extrusion operator to work within our Screw Extrusion department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, set and run extrusion lines.
- High standard of tool cleaning and rebuilding.
- Lead the extrusion line setting and operations.
- Monitor the process and adjust where necessary
- Communicate with Team Leader should any problems arise during production
- Monitoring the quality of the process via product testing equipment
- Transfer polymer to storage racks and load hoppers with polymer
- Start up and shutdown the extruder lines
- Undertake minor running repairs, whilst referring any major breakdown to the engineering department
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the Team Leader.
Package – Starting salary £26,624 (Plus shift allowance/Depending on which shift assigned to)
Holiday entitlement - 20 days plus bank holidays
Hours of working:
Days: 06:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday
Lates: 12:00 to 22:30 Monday to Thursday
Nights: 20:30 to 07:00 Monday – Thursday
Shift allowance paid between 18:00 –23:00 wage x 1.25 & between 23:00 – 06:00 wage x 1.5
Overtime – when available - Saturday x 1.5 - Sunday x2
Required Capabilities:
- 2 years’ experience Machine setter background (Preferred)
- Experience working in a technical production environment.
- Well-organised, with attention to detail.
- The ability to work well with your hands and to perform the physical aspects of the role.
- Knowledge of extrusion, injection moulding, profile extrusion (Preferred)
- Able to work under own initiative
- Able to work as part of a team.
