We are currently looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will lead a team of analysts to deliver high-quality insights that shape strategic and operational decision-making. Reporting to the Head of Data Analytics, you will drive complex analytical projects, turn business challenges into actionable solutions, and champion best practice across analysis and reporting. Working closely with data, architecture, and governance teams, you will help build trusted data foundations while contributing to the organisation’s wider data strategy, capability, and data literacy.
As the Senior Data Analyst, you will:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of Data Analysts, coaching, developing, and championing excellence in delivery.
- Drive advanced analytics and modelling to uncover powerful insights that shape strategic business decisions.
- Own the team’s analytical roadmap, prioritising workloads and ensuring high-quality outputs are delivered on time.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges, design smart analytical solutions, and turn data into action.
- Create and enhance impactful dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that bring data to life for decision-makers.
- Champion data quality, governance, and compliance, ensuring all analytics meet the highest standards, including GDPR.
We are looking for:
- A degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in data analysis or business intelligence.
- Experience leading, mentoring, or developing analytical teams, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-value, insight-driven outcomes that influence business decisions.
- Strong proficiency in data visualisation tools, such as Power BI, with the ability to create clear and impactful reporting.
- Advanced skills in data manipulation and analysis, using tools and languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets, ideally within cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Good understanding of data governance, quality, and compliance standards, including best practice in regulated environments.
